TMT Consultant in Training

Trauma Model Therapy Consultant Jamie English

Dr. English's Clinical Foundation

Dr. Jamie English, LCSW-S, LMFT-Associate, is a licensed clinical social worker-supervisor, licensed marriage and family therapist-associate, EMDR-certified therapist and consultant, and Trauma Model Therapy (TMT) consultant-in-training whose work centers on complex trauma, dissociation, and the relationship between trauma and the body. She is the founder of Inner Revolution, PLLC, and provides therapy, supervision, and consultation to clinicians seeking deeper clarity in complex clinical work. Dr. English works primarily with adults navigating histories of relational trauma, chronic stress patterns, dissociation, and body-image distress. Many of the clinicians she consults with are working with clients whose presentations feel layered, nonlinear, or difficult to organize within a single treatment model. She is especially attuned to moments when therapists feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next in trauma treatment. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. English teaches and trains graduate-level clinicians in trauma-informed care, couples therapy, and systems-oriented clinical thinking. Her consultation style emphasizes turning clinical complexity into clear, grounded next steps while maintaining deep respect for the therapeutic relationship and the nervous system impact of trauma work.

Why Dr. English Appreciates Trauma Model Therapy (TMT)

Dr. English was drawn to Trauma Model Therapy because of its ability to organize complexity without oversimplifying the human experience. In her work with trauma and dissociation, she repeatedly saw clients whose symptoms made sense intuitively but lacked a coherent clinical map.

TMT provided a framework that integrates trauma, attachment, dissociation, development, and family systems into a structure clinicians can actually use in the room. Rather than replacing other modalities, she values how TMT is technique-friendly, allowing thoughtful integration of EMDR, parts-informed work, relational therapy, and nervous-system-aware interventions.

She particularly appreciates how TMT concepts can be shared with both clinicians and clients in accessible language, often reducing shame and increasing a sense of orientation and hope. In consultation, she uses the TMT lens to help clinicians understand not just what is happening in complex cases, but why now — and what the next clinically sound step may be.
