Jen Woodrome, MA, LPC
Instructor

Jennifer Woodrome is the founder of Think Different Live Authentic. She is a trauma therapist specializing in complex trauma, Dissociative Disorders, and chronic nervous system dysregulation. Her clinical work focuses on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), complex PTSD, and severe dissociation, with a particular interest in helping clinicians understand trauma responses as adaptive attempts at protection rather than pathology or resistance.
Jennifer is certified in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) through Janina Fisher’s model and has completed advanced training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. She also integrates elements of parts work, attachment theory, DBT skills training, and emerging neuroscience frameworks into her clinical work.
Jennifer is especially interested in making complex trauma concepts feel clear, usable, and clinically grounded for therapists. Her teaching focuses on the “why” beneath client behavior, helping clinicians recognize how dissociation, shutdown, hypervigilance, and relational fear often emerge as intelligent survival strategies.
In addition to her clinical practice, Jennifer is a writer, educator, and speaker whose work explores trauma, dissociation, predictive processing, and nervous system safety. Her trainings emphasize pacing, stabilization, collaboration, and relational safety, with attention to the subtle signs of dysregulation that are often missed in the therapy room.
